ZenBears CBD Gummies
ZenBears CBD gummies are edible gummy bears that have been coated with broad spectrum CBD, a beneficial, non-intoxicating cannabinoid extracted from the cannabis plant. They provide a tasty, easy-to-use alternative to CBD oil.
Our gummies do not contain any ingredients with gluten. However, we cannot guarantee that they are produced in a celiac safe environment.
Our ZenBears are made right here in the UK, in a state-of-the-art facility meeting some of the strictest quality and safety standards in the world.
CBD and THC are both cannabinoids, found naturally in the hemp plant.
When you chew on a CBD gummy, it releases CBD into your mouth. You absorb most of the CBD into your bloodstream through your gums and through the blood vessels under your tongue. When you swallow the gummy, any remaining CBD travels through your digestive system, before making its way to your bloodstream.
Once in your body, the CBD from your gummies interacts with a system called the endocannabinoid system, or the ECS which is reponsible for keeping your body in a state of homeostatis by regulation functions like pain, temperature, appetite, mood and sleep.
CBD and THC can act on your ECS in a similar way to your own endocannabinoids. That’s why you might notice that your appetite or alertness, for example, are affected when you consume them.
No, the cannabinoid responsible for causing a high is THC and our CBD gummies are 100% THC-free.
CBD is not a psychoactive substance, so drugs tests typically don’t test for the presence of CBD. However, all CBD gummies, even those made with pure, isolated CBD, will contain at least a tiny trace of THC. This is the psychoactive substance that gets you high when you smoke weed.
Drug tests do test for THC, so if you have enough in your system, THC will show up in the results. However, the UK has very strict laws on the amount of THC a CBD product can contain. This tiny amount is not enough to get you high, and is unlikely to show up on a drug test, although there is a possibility that more sensitive tests will record a trace amount.
If you’re concerned about taking a drug test, we recommend choosing CBD gummies made from broad-spectrum CBD, like ZenBears, or a CBD isolate. ZenBears are made from hemp oil that has been processed to remove the THC. Again, tiny trace amounts do remain, but this is far, far below the legal limit and is highly unlikely to make you fail a drug test.
A word of warning: many brands claim to be THC-free, but testing has shown that they actually do contain THC, sometimes in levels above the legal limit. Always buy from a brand that publishes independent, third-party lab reports so you can be 100% sure how much THC is (or isn’t!) in your gummies.
When you chew a ZenBears CBD gummy, most of the CBD is absorbed into the bloodstream via your gums and the blood vessels under your tongue. This is the fastest way to absorb CBD into your system, so you should start to feel the effects of your CBD gummies in around 30 minutes.
Any CBD that isn’t absorbed in your mouth will have to pass through your digestive system before it enters your bloodstream. This means it might take longer for the gummies to work if you swallow them quickly, so be sure to chew them thoroughly first for best results.
CBD gummies are a great alternative to other CBD products like oils and capsules.
Many people find the earthy taste or the texture of CBD oil to be a bit off-putting, so they much prefer to get their CBD by chewing on a tasty gummy sweet.
Other people find CBD gummies to be much more convenient than oils. Rather than using a messy dropper and guessing your dosage, you can simply pop a pre-dosed CBD gummy and chew, no matter where you are.
Yes! CBD products, like our ZenBears CBD gummies, are perfectly legal to buy in the UK as long as they meet the following conditions:
- They are linked to a FSA novel foods applications – https://data.food.gov.uk/cbd-products/products-list?search=zenbears
- There’s no more than 1mg of THC in the total container.
ZenBears CBD Gummies meet these requirements, so you can legally enjoy them here in the UK. However, tests have shown that some brands contain more THC than they claim to, with some containing illegally high levels. Always buy from a brand that shares independent, third-party lab reports so you can be 100% sure that you’re buying a safe, legally compliant product.
CBD can affect everybody differently, so it’s hard to say exactly what you can expect from CBD gummies the first time you take them. Some people report feeling drowsy or nauseous, but this is more likely to be due to dosage rather than a bad reaction to the gummies themselves.
If you’re new to CBD, we recommend starting low and slow, and then working your way up. For most people, 10mg is a good starting dose (that’s half a ZenBear).
Take 10mg and wait a few hours to see how you feel. If you’re happy with the effects, you might be happy to stop at 10mg. If you don’t feel anything, or you think you can tolerate a higher dose, build up to 20mg.
Keep working your way up very slowly until you reach a dose that’s comfortable for you. If you reach a point where you experience unwanted effects, drop back down to the last comfortable dose and stay there.
We’re not aware of any dangers from going over this dose, but keep in mind that the Food Standards Agency (FSA) recommends that adults take no more than 70mg of CBD daily (that’s 3.5 ZenBears).
CBD is not known to be harmful to children, and is in fact used medicinally to treat certain health conditions. That said, these are well-researched medications given under the supervision of medical professionals. When it comes to commercial CBD products, the experts recommend a bit more caution.
While it’s not illegal to give your child CBD gummies, the CBD network Canex and the World Health Organization (WHO) both advise against it. Ultimately, it’s a personal decision, and we advise you check with a medical professional before hand.
Lots of people anecdotally report that CBD helps them sleep. Scientists are still researching whether this is the case, and how that might work, but they have a few theories. First, they’re exploring whether CBD helps sleep directly by influencing hormones like serotonin and GABA. Second, they’re studying whether it can help indirectly, by relieving problems that can affect sleep, like pain and anxiety (see above).
Lots of people anecdotally report that CBD helps them to feel more relaxed and calm. Scientists are studying how this might work, but there’s still a lot we don’t know about how CBD affects the body and brain. The most popular theories are that CBD may act directly to reduce stress hormones, or it might work indirectly to relieve restlessness or promote good sleep. It may even be the case that it does all three, but only more research will tell us for sure.
